 | Lily Afshar Performs, Instructs in Iran from Archer Records: Posted June 30, 2008 World-renowned classical guitarist Lily Afshar is visiting Iran for a series of concert performances and master classes. The Persian guitarist has established herself as an important link between eastern and western musical styles. Beginning July 3 and ending August 7, 2008, Lily will give concert performances in Tehran at the Niavaran Cultural Foundation, Barbod Music Institute, Vahdat Hall, and in Shiraz at Hafez Hall. During that time she will also instruct master classes for guitar students, both in Tehran (at the Barbod Music Institute) as well as in Shiraz.
